PROTECTING NEIGHBORHOOD VOICES IN OAK PARK

Oak Park is facing an historic overhaul of its residential zoning rules—including proposals that could eliminate single-family-only zoning districts village-wide. Because decisions of this magnitude will redefine our neighborhoods for generations, the process demands genuine community representation.  Mobilize Oak Park was formed to seek that residents—not a select few—have a direct voice in shaping our village’s future.

We believe major zoning updates must be carefully evaluated and guided by the people who call Oak Park home.  Our village can expand housing opportunities and pursue affordability without sacrificing the character, diversity, and distinct architectural heritage that make our neighborhoods special.
