Mobilize Oak Park 

was formed by residents who believe our community should have a meaningful voice in major decisions affecting its neighborhoods and future.

We support thoughtful, responsible growth.  We also believe that material zoning changes must be based on clear evidence, careful consideration of their consequences, and genuine engagement with residents throughout the process.  

Oak Park's housing diversity is one of its strengths.  Single-family, two-flats, townhomes, condominimums, apartments, and larger multi-family buildings all contribute to the character of our community.  

Given the enormity of the currently proposed zoning changes, the final zoning proposal should be shaped by the community, not a few individuals.

Mobilize Oak Park  is independent and nonpartisan, as well as not affiliated with any candidates.  We welcome residents with different perspectives who share a commitment to transparency, thoughtful planning  and full community involvement.
